Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra Review: Is it the Best Robot Vacuum
If you have never heard of Roborock, it’s highly unlikely you are even a bit aware of the robot vacuum. Roborock is the pioneer in the industry with their exceptional robot vacuum cleaners. Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra is their latest edition and comes with a vibrating mop and better suction power. It was launched six months ago, and I have been using it for quite a while now.
So, this is a comprehensive long-term review of the robot vacuum.

Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra – Price
The robot vacuum is a premium product from Roborock, so the price is steep. The dock and vacuum combo cost 1399$, and only the vacuum costs 639$. So, if you want exceptional cleaning with no self-cleaning feature, you can opt for only the robot vacuum.
It is around 100$ more expensive than the DreameBot L10s Ultra. Despite the staggering price, the flagship vacuum cleaner is totally worth the money.
Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra – Unboxing
The robot vacuum arrives in two boxes. The first one has the robot vacuum. The box is good, made from hard cardboard, and has features printed on the sides of the box. The vacuum is well-packed. In the box, we get the S7 MaxV Ultra, water tank, mop cloth, mount, power cable, and user manual.
The second box is fairly larger. It has the dock that Roborock is calling “Empty Wash/Fill dock.” It is an interesting and pretty self-explaining name that defines the product. The box has a QuickStart guide, and the main dock with two clean and dirty water containers and a 2.5L dust bag.
Appearance and Build Quality
Roborock S7 Max V Ultra is another stunning product from the company. It is a stylish ad strong product that will keep your house clean and mopped every time. It has a lovely traditional design with excellent sensor placement to cover every centimeter around the vacuum cleaner.
We have multiple LIDAR sensors around the primary camera and a few on the back and sides of the robot vacuum. On top, we have the usual head and three control buttons, which is nice for manually controlling the S7 MaxV Ultra. Below we have a very similar orientation of the brushes and mop.
The dock is slightly smaller than the DreameBot L10s Ultra, mainly because the containers are not covered. From right, we have the 2.5L dirtbag, the 3-liter clean water tank, and lastly, we have the dirty water tank.

Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra is truly a top-of-the-line robot vacuum. It has exceptional features and many intelligent and unique options that make it the best robot vacuum.
S7 MaxV Ultra is equipped with the best technologies. Its Precisense LIDAR sensor, RGB camera, and structured light 3D scanning map everything accurately. It automatically dodges everything and has unique integration for small things that robot vacuums often fail to detect. Even thin things like power cables, socks, and pet waste never get undetected in the eyes of Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.
It never got trapped in a situation apart from when I deliberately set a trap to lure the vacuum.
The sensors and camera perform another crucial function of 3D mapping every inch of the house. It detects the element and automatically places it on the map on the smartphone. This allows the vacuum to clean everything thoroughly and makes it easier for you to choose a particular thing.
For example, if you want the robot vacuum to clean around the bed. Just click the bed on the map, and the robot vacuum will navigate and reach the destination using the map.
Moreover, it also has the option to set different cleaning modes for each room. And S7 MaxV Ultra can also recommend the most optimal cleaning process after analyzing the room’s layout.
RGB camera also allows you to live chat with your kids at home or use it for surveillance. It also has a physical button to enable child lock, which is a handy solution as I have a kid at home.
Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra – Performance
Let’s talk about the actual performance of the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra. Starting with the suction power.
Vacuum Cleaning
The robot vacuum has a solid power of 5100Pa, almost double the previous model and slightly lower than the DreameBot L10s Ultra. The difference is minimal, and it’s hard to detect. Moreover, the vacuum can also lift slightly bigger objects than usual.
Let’s do the compulsory rice test. Roborock S7 MaxV ultra has shown the best possible results. I spilled 61 grams of rice on the floor, and the robot picked up every gram. The silicon brush is also good and significantly contributes to efficient cleaning. It also has a removable end to remove hairs easily.
The cleaning speed is also good. It takes a minute to clear per square meter, which can decrease slightly if the room has carpet and furniture. Moreover, the AI algorithm is so robust that even a minute detail didn’t go unnoticed. It stays away from every unwanted object and automatically increases the suction power when cleaning carpets.
Speaking of carpet, any obstacle under 20mm is not a problem for Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.
Wet Mopping
Wet mopping is not the best but is pretty good, and the robot can mop rooms with carpet, which is not possible in many robot vacuums. Roborock is a balanced product and has a unique vibrarise mopping system. Which cleans the floor 3000 times per minute to ensure a perfect floor.
Some people have concerns about the longevity of the vibration motor. But I think it can last quite a long. My previous vacuum S7 has a similar system, which is still working perfectly. I have also been using S7 MaxV Ultra for about 6 months and haven’t felt any flaws. But yes, it is another thing that can be tested 1 to 2 years from now.
Roborock App
The smartphone app is one of the strengths of the robot vacuum. It is a feature-packed component that covers everything from management and automation of Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra. You can view 3D maps and set no-go zones, quiet hours, and firmware updates.
You can also use Mi Home App to run Roborock Robot vacuums, but I recommend using the official app as it has way more features and options.

Verdict
Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra is the best-in-class robot vacuum with its superb navigation and mapping system, thorough dry and wet cleaning, excellent build quality, and smart features. So, if you want the best robot vacuum, go for Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra. But if you are a beginner, I recommend getting a less expensive vacuum to learn about them.
