Design and Build Quality
Huawei Watch 3 is featuring stainless steel and ceramic construction with a supreme polished body and pleasing design. The build quality is best; Huawei has not said anything about the build quality because the smartwatch speaks for itself. The design is exceptional; it’s a decent and elegant watch. Huawei is also offering stainless steel and titanium finish in the pro variant. Lastly, Huawei Watch 3 is water-resistant up to 5ATM.
Ticwatch Pro 3 has a beautiful body with clock marks around the screen. It has stainless steel and plastic construction which is a durable combination and keeps the device comparatively lightweight. The water-resistant rating is not good.
Ticwatch Pro 3 has a great design and durable construction, but Huawei Watch 3 is a clear winner due to its better build quality is premium design.
Huawei Watch 3 vs Ticwatch Pro 3 Round 2 – Display
Huawei Watch 3 has a beautiful 1.43-inches AMOLED screen with 466 x 466 resolution. It is one of the brightest smartwatches displays with a peak brightness of 1000 nits. The colours are bright, and all details are well visible in daylight.
Ticwatch Pro 3 has a 1.39-inches display with 454 x 454 resolution. A great thing about the watch’s screen is the dual display. Ticwatch has an AMOLED display and a low power FSTN display.
FSTN significantly reduces battery consumption and can be used during sports tracking.
This round ends up with a tie. Both screens are decent and have their perks. The Huawei Watch 3 screen is brighter and crispier, while Pro 3 has a dual display for battery preservation.
Battery Life
Huawei Watch 3 has a 450mAh battery with a battery endurance of 4 days with an always-on display, 24/7 HR tracking, SpO2 tracking, sleep tracking, stress measurement, sports and a few apps. In contrast, the timing is 19 days in battery saving mode. Huawei Watch 3 supports wireless charging.
Ticwatch Pro 3 has a bigger 577mAh battery, but the battery endurance is only two days under similar circumstances. The life significantly increases up to 28 days on the essential mode in which it only uses the FSTN display. Ticwatch doesn’t have wireless charging.
Huawei Watch 3 is the winner with a solid margin of 2 days.
Huawei Watch 3 vs Ticwatch Pro 3 Round 4 – Features
Both devices are great and packed with many great features like Wi-Fi connection, Bluetooth, NFC for payments, HR tracking, and many other sport modes and tracking. In short, they relieve us of many of our smartphone tasks. Both devices have phone call support, and you can respond to your messages and much more.
Ticwatch Pro 3 is using the best Wear OS chipset. It is better than many competitors. Moreover, the LTE is supported in few countries only.
Huawei Watch 3 has a dual chipset architecture, which enhances battery efficiency. Further, it has a smooth rotating crown for smoother UI navigation. Moreover, Watch 3 has better Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
So, I think Huawei again takes the lead over Ticwatch Pro 3.
Huawei Watch 3 vs Ticwatch Pro 3 Round 5 – Software
Ticwatch 3 has a great OS and has access to all the google services. In a nutshell, it has access to the play store with thousands of great apps, including maps, Spotify, Strava, shazam and many of your favourite apps. The apps can be easily installed and synced, and thanks to the fast processor, they work perfectly.
Moreover, the Ticapps framework, including Ticoxygen to measure spO2, Ticpulse to measure heart rate and all the rest to track your health status. Wear OS has never been great about customizations, but it’s slowly getting there. It also has Google assistant, which is just one swipe away and works well in almost all countries.
Huawei Watch 3 situation is different. Watch 3 is the first wearable to run Harmony OS, but at this point, I don’t really feel the Harmony in their software. It is customizable, but not as much as WearOS. Yes, it scrolls so well, and maybe this is one of the few actual advantages over Google’s system. There are many missing things. Like no option to respond to notifications. Lack of quiet hours to keep the display off during the night. With future updates, such minor imperfections are expected to improve; I don’t see the App gallery getting good enough soon.
App gallery is the Google Play alternative that Huawei has been developing in the past years. But earlier mentioned apps aren’t available at AppGalery. If you use Google services like maps, drive, and assistant, this device is not for you.
So, Ticwatch Pro 3 is a clear winner thanks to its latest Wear OS and google services.
Huawei Watch 3 vs Ticwatch Pro 3 Round 6 – Smartphone Apps
The official Watch 3 app is called Huawei Health. The app interface is excellent, and it has a lot of watchfaces. Some features are restricted on Android devices and even more on iOS. Downloading the app is a nightmare; it is not available on PlayStore, so you have to download it from Huawei’s website. Moreover, you need HMS (Huawei Mobile services) to run the app on non-Huawei devices.
On the other hand, Mobvoi is easily accessible and has many great features. The interface is getting better with every update as well.
Although Huawei Health is not very accessible still it is better than Mobvoi.
Huawei Watch 3 vs Ticwatch Pro 3 Round 7 – Sport Modes
Huawei has always been excellent at delivering a huge number of sport modes. But this time, the accuracy of them is way off. Moreover, music playback is tricky during sports. I was unable to control the music through the watch. There are fewer options to customize the buttons.
Ticwatch Pro 3 has better sport modes integration. Although it does not have a lot of sport modes but they are accurate, and you can control music playback. The buttons are easily customizable and can be used to control the watch if your hands are all sweaty.
Ticwatch Pro 3 is the clear winner due to the better integration of sport modes.
Huawei Watch 3 vs Ticwatch Pro 3 Round 8 – Price
Huawei Watch 3 costs 350$ while Ticwatch Pro 3 is priced at 300$. But the LTE version of the Pro 3 costs 360$. Huawei Watch 3 is available in three different variants, the most expensive cost 600$.

Ticwatch Pro 3 Strengths
Conclusion
So, in the end, both of the watches have their strong and weak sides. I believe Ticwatch Pro 3 is the more practical option because of its exciting dual-display, good battery life, much better software. Moreover, many excellent health tracking and productivity features, exceptional for a wearOS sports tracking and well-evolving smartphone app at a relatively great price.
Huawei Watch 3 still have a lot to catch up on in terms of software. Hardware is quite superb, so is the build quality, the feature set and the smartphone apps. It is clearly the better choice if you want a true premium feeling on your hand. But as a person that often needs services and apps provided by Google and the play store, I’ll probably stick with the Mobvoi made wearable, at least for now. Luckily Software is an area where Huawei can easily catch up if they make the proper steps.
