Fitbit is among the pioneers of smart fitness trackers. They have some of the best fitness trackers and smartwatches with tons of exceptional features and hardware. Fitbit Inspire 3 is the latest budget addition to the line-up. At just 99$, the fitness tracker has a beautiful slim design with extraordinary battery life.
I have been testing this product for a week, so here is the comprehensive review of Fitbit Inspire 3.
Let’s Inspect!
Overview
Fitbit Inspire 3 in a Nutshell:
Pros
- Nice design and comfortable fit
- Great supporting app
- 10-day battery life
- Easy navigation and convenient haptic buttons
- Excellent fitness tracking
- Interactive watch faces
Cons
- Tiny display
- Operating system is basic and smartphone app-dependant
- Inaccurate steps tracking
Fitbit Inspire 3 – Price
As mentioned above, it starts at 99$, which is not a bad value. But if we compare it with Mi, Galaxy Fit, and Honor bands, we can get 2 of those at the same price. This is not the ideal price, but it’s still cheaper than Garmin Vivosmart Bands.
Fitbit Inspire 3 – Unboxing
Unboxing is the one thing I really love about the fitness tracker. It comes in the corresponding color to the device, which in my case, is orange. Opening the box will reveal the nicely wrapped watch, and on the left, you will see the user manual with all the necessary information. On top, we have a cover hiding the straps and charging dock.
In the box, we have the Fitbit Inspire 3, user manual, charging dock, and two straps for a perfect fit.
Appearance and Build Quality
Out of the box, it is among the most beautiful smart tracker of 2022. The 1.4-inch screen is gorgeous; it is small but has bright and rich colors. There are two capacitive buttons on either side, which is excellent as both left and right-handed people can easily control the watch.
The watch comes in three colors pink, orange, and black. I have got the orange one called “morning glow” because pink is just not my style and black looks boring because of the number of black watches I have.
Overall, the watch feels quite nice in hand, it is slim and comfortable, and the soft strap perfectly complements the look.

Fitbit Inspire 3 – Features
Fitbit Inspire 3 is a fairly standard watch; there is not much special about it. But some excellent features, accurate tracking in most departments, and the Fitbit app make it a good fitness tracker.
First, let’s understand the interface; it is slightly different than the previous generation as it has two haptic buttons. You can press either of these buttons to turn on the screen and take you back to the home screen.
Navigation is pretty straightforward. Swipe left and right to navigate the options and up and down to access settings and daily health overview.
One of the best features of the Fitbit Inspire 3 is its battery. Google has not mentioned the size. After using it for seven days, the remaining battery was 29% which is quite remarkable. With multiple sports sessions and all-day HR tracking, these numbers are just excellent. Another thing is the app OS is based on the apps. So, you can uninstall an app to close a function and enhance the battery life of the fitness tracker.
The fitness tracker does not have GPS, but it has a unique “Connected” feature. It allows the watch to use the mobile’s GPS for tracking.
The watch also has a convenient alarm function. It is good, the vibration is not very aggressive, but it will definitely wake you up. Another good thing is notifications. It partially displays the messages, and you can respond with preset replies.
Fitbit Inspire 3 – Performance
All the features are useless if the fitness tracker is not good at fitness tracking. So, here is how the Fitbit Inspire 3 performs.
HR Tracking
The heart rate tracking is quite good, accurate, and all the information is extensively illustrated in the Fitbit App. I was testing the Amazfit Band 7 and Inspire 3 together, and the results were very similar.
Sleep Tracking
Sleep tracking is not well implemented by many smartwatches and fitness trackers. It’s spot on in Fitbit Inspire 3. All the metrics are measured and are portrayed in the app.
SpO2 Tracking
Fitbit has used the best sensors in the watch. Like other trackings, it was also pretty good.
Steps Tracking
It is the feature where Fitbit struggles. I don’t know if it’s due to the absence of GPS or just a lousy accelerometer. Because the steps tracking is off by 5000 steps. One day I was working, spent the whole day in the house, and my activity throughout the day was moving the mouse around. But Inspire 3 was trying to convince me that I had walked 8700 steps or 6.84km. While Amazfit Band 7 only tracked 3000 steps which is more accurate.
I have never seen a watch messing with the steps tracker like that.
Sports Tracking
Sports tracking is also good because of amazing sensors. But some modes are affected by the absence of GPS and bad step tracking.
Fitbit App
The App is a component that significantly adds value to the watch. It is an excellent app packed with many features that will make you healthier. The best part is the trend section, where all the analytical sources and data are gathered on one page. It is super helpful to learn better about your fitness activities and health to make conclusive decisions for a better and healthier life.
Moreover, it has 21 watch faces, some of which are interactive—allowing you to monitor some health metrics on the home screen.
One thing that I don’t like about the app is the constant pop-ups of subscriptions or premium membership.
Drawbacks
- The display is too small.
- Limited workouts.
- Very basic operating system.
- Inaccurate steps counter.
Conclusion
Fitbit Inspire 3 is a fitness tracker with excellent battery life, a slim and beautiful design, functional features, and great fitness tracking. Even with some drawbacks and costs almost double the price of Galaxy Fit and Mi band, Fitbit Inspire 3 is a solid deal that will attract customers who don’t want a Chinese product.
