Because Google Pixel launched its tab this year, OnePlus was also in the names, and we are reviewing the Xiaomi Pad 6. Moreover, the iPad is also around the corner. The article focuses on the Xiaomi Pad 6, which promises a very close to a laptop-like experience. It has everything for productivity, along with a display port to connect an external screen. Xiaomi Pad 6 – Price
The price of the Pad 6 is 399$. The excellent price tag is lower than most Chromebooks and also undercuts the price of Pixel and OnePlus tablets. It seems like a great device and might also make it way to the American market.
Xiaomi Pad 6 – Unboxing
The unboxing experience is quite nice; the box feels premium. Lifting the top will reveal the tablet, and underneath the tablet, you will find the essential accessories. The box has a 33W charger, Type-C cable, and some papers. One thing I like about Xiaomi is that they have not discontinued the power adapter. They are still providing super-fast chargers with both their flagship and mid-range smartphones.
I have also ordered some accessories. Firstly, we have the original case. It is a high-quality hard case like we usually have with smartphones. It cannot keep the Xiaomi Pad 6 in tablet mode.
Then we have the premium keyboard case, which I think is a handy accessory because previously, Xiaomi had it limited to China with Pad 5. Now, it is available globally. It is an excellent keyboard and incredibly useful if you plan to do a lot of typing work.
The last thing we have is the stylus. It is a new generation with better battery precision and also works with previous generations. Xiaomi claims that only a 1-minute charge can provide 7 hours of working, which is quite exciting. I want to criticize that there is no way to attach the stylus to the case or tablet safely.
Appearance and Build Quality
One of the things that you will immediately notice is how thin the Xiaomi Pad 6 is. I was a bit scared of doing the bend test because a little force showed some flex in the body. So, I think it’s better not to use it roughly.
It has an aluminum body and frame. This time, we also have Gorilla Glass 3, which is pretty good because Xiaomi Pad 5 only had tempered glass, which is still pretty good and does not have any cracks or scratches after a year of usage.
It weighs around 500 grams and has a fine and clean finish. The bezels are thin and the camera layout is now square as opposed to the previous generation’s circular orientation.

Xiaomi Pad 6 – Display
Xiaomi Pad 6 does not have an AMOLED screen, and many of you might be thinking about the fact, but iPad Air, Pixel, and OnePlus tab are using LCD, so Xiaomi has a very similarly equipped setup. One superior thing about Pad 6 is it has a 144Hz refresh rate, which is excellent for gaming.
The large 11-inch screen has excellent pixel density and great viewing angles. In short, it is tuned to perfection. No matter what you use, the experience will be addictive and extremely friendly.
One of the most tempting things with Xiaomi Pad 6 is gaming. With a big display, higher refresh rate, and excellent processor, the gaming experience is a class apart. Real Racing 3 and Call of Duty feel totally different on the massive display, and the performance is stellar.
Performance and Features
Lightroom Running Smoothly
Xiaomi Pad 6 is equipped with a Snapdragon 870 processor paired with DDR5 memory. The combinations work in harmony to deliver excellent performance. The cooling is also well-implemented; after 15 minutes of stress test, everything was good. Even if the throttling occurs, the impact on performance will be minimal. The Pad can run everything from heavy games to RAM-hungry software like Lightroom. All of them work seamlessly.
In addition to a fast processor and DDR5 memory, the storage is also UFS 3.1, which is three times faster than the previous generation. Moreover, with USB 3.2, the data transfer between devices is swift. The port can also transfer video signals to an external display, allowing you to use it as a desktop setup.
Speaking of desktops with an external dongle, you can connect the keyboard, mouse, and other devices to really excel in the desktop setup with Xiaomi Pad 6.
Software-wise, Xiaomi has added a lot of features in MIUI 14, like split screen, floating windows, multi-window support, smartphone link, and more. I have had some issues with MIUI on smartphones, but it is a different breed on tablets.
Xiaomi Pad 6 – Cameras
Camera discussion on tablets is boring because they are usually not used as one unless you are one of those wired people. The front 8MP camera can be handy; you can use the 1080p resolution to attend meetings and video calls with friends.
For the rear camera, things are not bad. The pictures look great, and the tablet can edit pictures professionally.
Xiaomi Pad 6 – Battery
With an 8840mAh battery, it is one thing that you don’t worry about because you will easily be getting a lot of browsing, editing, watching, and gaming time. Moreover, with 33-watt quick charging, the Xiaomi Pad 6 gets juiced up quickly.
